Pool birth or Hospital Birth

Children are God’s way of letting us know that the world is not ending soon and when I saw a post relating to child birth I just had to share as it reach out to the part of me that is gender biased. With all due respect to my male readers, please pardon me if this topic seems like it is targeted to the female gender alone, however it is my submission that my male readers will find this post as interesting as it refreshing.

I am of the view that male and female born in the modern age should be familiar with child birth ie the different ways a woman can put to bed and being by the side of your spouse while she’s giving birth to the life both of you created together in the purest expression of love.

That being said, on my usual visit to a blog I visit quite frequently, the lindaikeji blog; I found thispost that tickled my fancy and caused my curiosity to wonder what the readers of Pam d’coques blog think about this post http://www.lindaikejisblog.com/2016/02/poignant-photos-capture-process-of.html?m=1

images (1)This brought back memories; a few years back I used to watch a TV series on Channels 4 called “One born every minute”. I experienced firsthand the beauty and the pain of child birthing  as a single individual and developed a new found respect not just for the female gender but for mothers and parents (couples) in general. I was so immersed in the experience I screamed with the mothers when they screamed and felt their pains, discomfort and understood the irrational behaviour they expressed from time to time and my compassionate side was touched for the mothers and their spouse (especially the ones that experience the birth of their baby), and rejoiced when the vagina stretching babies popped out and were cleaned up.

This post is directed to everyone our there, men and women, if you were given a choice what method of child birth would you go for? Pool birth for the hard core ladies or traditional hospital birth for the celebrity types that do not want to be ruffled?

I personally would go for a pool birth given that I am hard core, having the softness of the water cushion my plum petit ass with sweet scented candles and soothing music playing in the background. No epidural hopefully by Gods grace, my loving husband by my side massaging my lower back, lol with one or two nurses and in the comfort of my own home. Permit me to take you to a time when all women were bad ass and  birthed their babies while taking a long leisurely walk on God’s green earth with experienced midwives/ mothers… hahaha (just messing with you guys) but God is wonderful. Please let me know what method you would prefer

  1. I’d go for a pool birth all the way! It’s an experience I know in my heart that l’ll treasure, am really looking forward to it. I loooove “one bor every minute ” that show made me start thinking of becoming a doula since am facinated by childbirth & birth stories. Lol
