Our words are seeds, when planted and watered grows to be great. We ( I and my family), started out our year with Psalm 92 and in these verses birthed the theme of the year which is ‘my Year of Flourishing’. Indeed, we have flourished beyond our imaginations and God showed himself to be true. For example, I have in this year been through difficult and challenging times and I pulled through.

First of, I lost my Job on the 9th of February, 2017 while I was nearly in the second trimester of my pregnancy. I was so devastated because I was wondering how I was going to cope without an income in the abroad. But above it all, I pulled through by God’s grace, I coped and I am still coping.

Also, in the cause of my pregnancy they discovered I had a rare genetic disorder, where I have tiny red blood cells. I was so anemic to the point where doctors and midwives who saw me were perplexed at how I wasn’t fainting on the regular. My iron level was so low to the point where I had two Infusions. But to God’s glory,  the red blood cell disorder (Alpha Thalassemia) is not life threatening as such.

Inorder not to flog my not so happy moments in this post, I would be giving a brief highlight of my 2017. 09-01-2017- I lost my Job, 09-07-2017- I had my baby and 01-11-2017- I started my youtube channel, 26-11-2017- my baby got baptised/christened, and 31-12-2017- I am typing comfortably on my bed with a grateful heart.

Lastly,  I would love to bring new dimensions to my blog posts. Firstly, I will change my blog name from ‘pam d’coque’s blog’ to ‘Pamokoye’s blog’. Secondly, instead of random stories that I usually tell on my blog, my stories would center mainly on my son and I. Thirdly, as I now have a Youtube channel(Pamela Okoye) and a blog, I would try as much as possible to be consistent with my posts come 2018.

I love you all, see you in 2018 and remain in GOD!

May the crawling Month and things that get on my Nerves!

I rang my kid brother over the phone and the first conversation we had was how the month of May seemed to be the longest month in the year despite the fact it has 31 days in it. And I quickly told him welcome to the crawling month and he laughed out loud as always. So today as I blog I say welcome to the Month of May, the colorful Month because it is still spring here in the United Kingdom. My prayer for you this month is for you all to blossom and bloom like flowers that spring up this season.

So for today I am going to blog about few things that get on my nerves. At Least these few stuffs will give you a little insight of me/ a little bit of get to know me kind of blog post. I will try as much as possible not to bore you guys, hope you enjoy this post and please read with a pinch of humour!

Impromptu interview schedules

Guys I cannot over emphasise on this. Just ask me questions on a normal day I would think it through and give you an answer immediately, but once it comes to employment and “oh please will you be available for an interview tomorrow” am like ‘WHAT’? are these people F**king kidding me(pardon my french). No time at all to get prepared. It drives me nuts really. I don’t know if it happens to you? But yea that’s it, on the spot kind of interview is a No No for me.

Learner driver, slow driving and me madam running late

Oh Lord! You guys know when you are kind of in a hurry or running late for an appointment and then suddenly before you approach a roundabout there you have a learner driver and his/her instructor in a car chilling so comfortable before they make a turn. Mmmmmmmh, that’s an insane time to wait, you have no choice than to cuss under your breathe or if I am driving alone I vent out as much as I like. That annoys me,I don’t know about you. But what can I do. LOL

I may sound like ‘Miss goody two shoes’ but hey who doesn’t like sincerity. If you are not sincere to me or anyone else around you, hey boo boo, you are not being sincere to yourself. I dislike deceitful people, I grind my teeth in anger because I feel you are being deceitful. I have had few many instances in my life and I want to use this medium to say to anyone who cares to listen, don’t lie to me because you want to get something off me, tell me the truth you never can tell if I will give you all of me. Hahahha

Repeating myself over and over again

Boy, girl hey stop! Why must I tell you something over and over again, be it verbally or written. Oh dear, it drives me nuts. In my mind, I am like, if only this person knows how difficult it is to type, talk more of repeating yourself over and over again. You all know that moment when someone tells you, please read from top, lol! Please sister, brother, aunty, take your time and scroll all the way up and read the conversation from start to finish. This one includes me, because sometimes I go through chats and I see I asked a question which have already been answered over and over again. I quickly nod my head in disappointment. Shame on me……..

Wet door handle in a public bathroom

Oh tell me this has never happened to you. Sister girl what are the hand dryers meant for, are they there for fancy? You are supposed to use the toilet, wash your hands and dry before you open the door to leave. It is so gross! so please do us a favour by drying your wonderful hands properly before you exit a restroom, bathroom or convenience whatever it is called. LOL

So guys there you have it. I know a lot of us can relate to these things. I am as guilty as anyone of us so this is to tell you how imperfect we all are, but we need to manage these imperfections and life situations that come our way. Please share with us things that get on your nerves in the comment section below.

Enjoy your day!
